Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using UPCGen (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Account

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] of any unauthorized use.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans renew automatically each billing period until canceled. You may cancel at any time from your account's billing portal; cancellations take effect at the end of the current period.

All charges are non-refundable except where required by law. One-time bundle purchases are final on completion.

We may change prices on prospective basis with at least 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers may cancel before the new price applies.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Generate codes representing GS1-registered identifiers that you do not own.
• Counterfeit, defraud, or impersonate another company's products.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or stress-test the Service beyond your plan's documented limits.
• Resell access to the Service without our written permission.

6. Barcodes and GS1

UPCGen does not issue GS1-registered numbers. Codes you generate with valid check digits are technically valid barcodes, but global uniqueness is your responsibility. For Amazon, Walmart, or any GS1-required retailer, you must obtain prefixes from GS1 directly.

7. Intellectual Property

UPCGen and its underlying software are owned by us. Barcode images you generate are yours to use commercially. Our brand name, logo, and content remain our property.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that generated codes will be accepted by any specific marketplace or retailer.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UPCGen's aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for material violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected].

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which UPCGen is registered, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
